While Johnny Rain might not be on everyone’s radar yet, I’m hoping and thinking that will change soon. The California native has been putting out music and producing for a little while now, but his debut album 11 was released late January, and it’s definitely worth checking out.
The album is entirely self-produced, and the young singer’s ability to uniquely carve out his own sound in this alternative R&B space everyone seems to love these days, really shines through.
Oakland Ting/ 808 and Patron is a personal favorite. Check it out below, and support the movement. His album 11 is available for purchase on iTunes now.
