I think I came across this song on a random Tidal playlist, but the sultry single was a standout for me. Ro James has apparently been releasing music for quite some time, but this was my first introduction and his debut single after singing to RCA Records. It samples Willie Hutch’s “Brother’s Gonna Work It Out,” which might sound familiar seeing as how it has been used by everyone from Chance the Rapper, to Cheef Keef, Lloyd, A$AP Mob and even Project Pat. Ro’s take on the classic sample provides a soothing background for his lyrical expression on content.
