This is (one of) my favorite song(s) off of Swedish singer Snoh Aalegra’s debut studio album, Feels. Although she has had successful collaborations with major artists such as Common, RZA and John Mayer in the past, it seems like an influx of attention was shined on Snoh after Drake sampled her track Time to close out his More Life playlist album on Do Not Disturb. Her vocals are haunting in the most beautiful way, and I personally felt that the most on Fool For You, possibly because of the vulnerability in the lyrics paired with her soulful unfiltered tone. She explained in an interview with Billboard that “this album feels like everything I’m inspired by, it’s just what’s in my heart. My real life has inspired me as well. All of these lyrics are real experiences and purely what’s in my heart. I’m proud of that influence.”
