Kash Doll – For Everybody

Hailing from my hometown of Detroit, Arkeisha "Kash Doll" Knight has been consistently growing her fan base throughout the past few years on her quest to become a household name and establish her spot in the lineup of prominent female rappers. While Run Me My Money was one of the first tracks to get people’s attention, her newest song, For Everybody, is her biggest one to date. She frames the song like a confrontational phone conversation between a wife and a side chick, with each verse interchanging perspectives to create a full song that can relate to the different sides of a predicament that is unfortunately all too common. When you watch the video, it is slightly reminiscent of The Boy is Mine with Monica & Brandy – going back and forth with another woman about a man you find out was playing everyone involved-- only here, Kash is playing both sides. Beyond the music, Arkeisha is a humble and focused hustler. Snippets from her interviews tend to go viral for her blunt and comical relatable statements that allow you to connect with the personality behind the mic and show just how relatable she is. I believe she is still working through some legal issues regarding outstanding contracts she has to handle first, but hopefully once that is done for good, we will be hearing and seeing a lot more of her very soon.
